With day and boarding options, Oakland’s five-week summer camp combines an intensive academic program with the joys of traditional summer fun for kids ages 6-13.

For students enrolled in the year-round program, Summer at Oakland is a required part of the 180-day school year. Oakland increases its enrollment in the summer to a capacity of up to 110 boarding and day students.

Upward Lift

Non-readers or students reading significantly behind grade level are placed in Oakland's highly acclaimed early literacy program, Upward Lift. The curriculum focuses on decoding and word recognition so children gain confidence in reading. Students typically experience an increase of up to one year or more in this intensive multisensory program.

Oakland School's camp helps campers maintain their academic skills over the summer while still engaging in fun, outdoor activities.
